Hon. Spencer Perceval, K.C. (1 November 1762 – 11 May 1812)

Spencer Perceval was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 4 October 1809 until his death on 11 May 1812. Very sadly his life was cut short when he was assassinated in the lobby of the Houses of Parliament at 5.15 p.m. on 11th May 1812.

He is the only British Prime Minister to have been assassinated. He is also the only Solicitor General or Attorney General to have been Prime Minister.
