What is your safeguarding policy?
ST SWITHUN’S SAFEGUARDING
At St Swithun’s we are committed to safeguarding in order to protect all who visit, worship or work in the parish
and all who use our facilities.
If you hire our church hall or any of our premises at St Swithun’s or St Barnabas’ you are required to observe
and comply with the current Chichester Diocese child protection policy.
Copies are displayed in all our buildings and a copy of the main policy is available here: http://safeguarding.chichester.anglican.org/documents/policy/2009-diocesan-children-and-young-people-safeguarding-policy-policy/
The full policy, procedures, contents, forms, appendices etc. is held on the diocesan website as a series of documents and these can be found here: http://safeguarding.chichester.anglican.org/documents/ These pages also include a wealth of other useful documents including the policy for protection of vulnerable adults.
The Church of England House of Bishops’ policy, “Protecting All God’s Children” can be seen here: http://safeguarding.chichester.anglican.org/documents/policy/protecting-all-gods-children/
