Diocesan Lent Appeal
 A new blog has been created to mark the countdown to the Bishop's Lent Appeal - raising funds and awareness for YMCA Downslink DLG tackling youth homelessness - view the blog here and watch a Youtube video of Bishop Martin speaking about the event and encouraging donations.

 

 

 

Commemorating Sussex Ringers
On Saturday 8 April, there will be an open service to remember the lives of the 258 Sussex bellringers who served during the First World War. The service will take place at Sussex' only 12-bell tower- St Swithuns, East Grinstead at 4.30pm

Young Vocations Day
Twenty-two people from a wide range of church traditions gathered in chichester to hear first-hand experience about the meaning of vocation and being called to ministry from the Bishop of Chichester and others. More here

New receptionist welcomed at Church House Hove 
Wendy Harding has joined the Diocese as the new Church House Receptionist/ Administrator.  Wendy’s responsibilities will include managing all front of house items, including managing the switchboard and monitoring meeting room bookings.
Wendy comes to the Diocese with more than 17 years of administrative experience, 12 of which were with YMCA, an organisation the diocese currently supports.

Annual Headteachers’ Conference
The Annual Headteachers’ Conference takes place at Malmaison Hotel, Brighton Marina
on Thursday 23 March 2017. Please pray for our Headteachers, Director of Education Dr Canon Ann Holt and the Education Teams.

Annual Parochial Church Meetings
PCC secretaries will receve a notification in the next couple of weeks outlining a new improved method of submitting changes after your APCM meeting. Please note that as part of our data renewal process  you will be required to submit all details afresh for this first time only.
 
Lent Course parishes mapped

Chichester Diocesan Holy Land Pilgrimage 
2018 is designated as a YEAR OF PRAYER and pilgrimage will play a full part throughout the year.  The Bishop of Chichester will lead pilgrims to journey and pray with him in some of the holiest places associated with the emergence of the Christian faith. 25 Oct-1 Nov 2018. How to book  here 

Christian Aid Week - Diamond Awards 
The diamond anniversary of Christian Aid Week will be marked by a special event to celebrate the amazing people who make it happen onTuesday 16th May at St. Mary's Church, Kemptown, Brighton. Are you a Christian Aid Diamond? If you are or know someone who is please email Mark Rodger

Part-time food bank co-ordinator for Hove
A Part Time Food Bank Co-ordinator is required to oversee the main running of the Food Bank and lead a team of volunteers. The Hangleton and West Blatchington Food Bank is based at St George’s Church Hall, Court Farm Road in Hangleton, Hove. More here
