The Parish Giving Scheme and Digital Money
The PGS now remits over £3½ million each year to PCC bank accounts in our diocese and has cleverly addressed the problem of ‘static giving’. With new dioceses coming on board regularly, it is likely to become the C of E’s preferred channel for regular gifts to local churches, and more of its facilities will soon be made available online. The PGS sits in a wider context of the various ways in which local churches receive gifts, and John Sherlock would be pleased to hear from anyone who has experience with digital giving applications. His email address is john.sherlock@chichester.anglican.org.
